Lynne O'Neill, hour 6, Honors Science.
As you already know, my purpose for creating this website was to complete an assignment. Instead of talking about that, I'd like to say why I chose Acadia. Last summer my grandparents visited a place like this (also in Maine) and emailed us some of the pictures they took. I thought the scenery was absolutely beautiful and decided that I will visit a place like that sometime in my life. When I heard about the national parks project if figured it would be the perfect opportunity to find more information about Maine's natural landscapes and visitor activities. Which led me to choose rock climbing as my special interest. Among all of the activities that I came across while creating this website, rock climbing appealed to me the most. So now rock climbing at Acadia National Park is on my bucket list.
Dedication: I feel that the dedication belongs to my grandma Bonnie and my grandpa Ron. Had they not gone to a park similar park like this in Maine and told me about it, I wouldn't have had been so interested in visiting the coast of Maine sometime in my life.
About Me! As you can see from the picture above, I have two sisters (my younger sister, Carly, is in between us). We also have two dogs, a couple fish here and there, and a gerbil (you can see the cage in the background). I am the third born in my family, my brother and sister (John and Kit) are twins and are 1 year and 16 days older than me. We're Irish triplets. My little sister is 2 1/2 years younger than me and is the owner of the gerbil behind me. The dog you see in the picture is our German Shepard, Caesar, and we also have a lazy Black Lab mix name Neeko. My mom's name is Amy and (as many people know) my dad's name is Kevin and does the health presentations for the 8th grade. We have all lived in our house going on 13 years.
